At Sanford Health, we believe the best events are both fun and safe. Due to the threat of inclement weather, Sanford Health and the National Weather Service are advising minimal travel this weekend. With the safety of our supporters in mind, we’ve chosen to cancel the Edith Sanford Run/Walk for Breast Cancer previously scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12.
This year’s event would mark the 24th annual run/walk in the Bismarck-Mandan community, and we’re so thankful to everyone who has dedicated their time to participating and supporting the event.
At this point, we do not plan to reschedule the run/walk, but our mission to support local patient care and research continues. Please watch for communication in the following weeks regarding another fun event benefiting the Edith Sanford Breast Initiative.
To everyone who has registered online and raised funds to support Edith Sanford, thank you! Your dedication is an inspiration. We hope that despite the cancellation of this year’s event, you are proud of the work you did and any donations made to support this cause. If you or your donors would like a refund, please contact the Sanford Health Foundation at (701) 323-8450.
Registered participants can still pick up this year’s event T-shirt at the Sanford Health Foundation office located on the fifth floor of the First International Bank & Trust Building, 1601 N. 12th St. We hope you can proudly wear your T-shirt this October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Donations in support of our mission and in honor of our participants by clicking "Donate to this event" above. Participants still have the opportunity to win prizes for funds raised, and every dollar stays local to accelerate breakthroughs and save and improve lives.
